Attending Moving Beyond the Pregnancy Options Dialogue will enhance your work with women and couples considering their pregnancy options. You will receive updated information regarding abortion, adoption and parenting to take back to your organization. These new tools will increase your ability to confidently provide thorough options counseling in your health clinic, classroom or counseling office.
Whether or not you've attended a Pregnancy Options Dialogue training event in the past, here's your chance to move beyond the initial conversation and gain the skills you need to put this vital information to use!
At this innovative day-long workshop, you will:
- Deconstruct Case-Scenarios;
- Discuss difficult questions and learn how to get beyond conversation stoppers;
- Create a skeletal framework for options counseling that can be used in any setting; and
- Build a pregnancy options toolkit with new counseling techniques and current, accurate information about each pregnancy option.
Why should I attend Moving Beyond the Pregnancy Options Dialogue?
This intensive one-day workshop offers counselors, educators and health care providers the chance to build skills, practice new counseling techniques and learn in-depth information about abortion, adoption and parenting.
The workshop includes break-out sessions offering participants the chance to gain detailed knowledge about each option and have their questions answered by experts in each field. You will gather detailed information about each pregnancy option, including:
- What kind of abortion options are out there and how do I cover these options in counseling?
- What societal pressures do I need to keep in mind when counseling women who are considering parenting?
- What do I need to know about birthfather rights and how adoption is practiced today?
Attendees will leave this event with new counseling techniques and current information to help them continue to offer high quality services to their patients and clients.
